  • Always strive to do better work. People who want to be great, have better taste and instincts.

  • Never stop building and nurturing your network. You can never know enough people and they will always help you.

  • If you can’t explain it in a single sentence, don’t bother. Every story needs a compelling headline – write that first and the rest will flow.

  • Have an instinct for your topic. People with finely-tuned instincts love their subject and develop the power of nerd’s knowledge.



The Irish Mediacontacts Directory is founded by former RTÉ London Editor and his wife Lynette Fegan.


It grows from a small eight-page pamphlet, into a 200-page publication, listing all the media in the Ireland. It is recognised as the ‘bible’ for media contacts in Ireland.


Jack Murray purchases the Irish Media Contacts Directory title from Mike Burns and forms


The first website for the Irish Media Contacts Directory is established and sales of the book are managed online.

February 2009 launch, an online media intelligence portal to distribute press releases and manage media contacts.
