15/8 AC/DC will claim the Christmas Number 1 over X Factor
X Factor’s favourite for yet another Christmas Number 1
Christmas is drawing ever closer and the race for the UK Christmas Number 1 is well and truly on. X Factor have reigned over the Christmas Number 1 spot for years and are the 6/4 favourites to add the 2013 number 1 spot onto their long list.
A campaign has started to get AC/DC to the Christmas number 1 spot and they can be backed at 15/8 to succeed. Susan Boyle has released a Christmas single alongside the legendary Elvis Presley which goes into the betting at 7/2. Lily Allen has made her comeback to music and is 6/1 to return with a bang and claim the Christmas Number 1.
The Big Reunion are re-releasing “I Wish It Could Be Christmas Everyday” and are 10/1 to make it to number 1, with Boylesports. One Direction are undoubtedly one of the biggest bands in the world at the moment and are 20/1 alongside choir boy Jack Topping to reach the Christmas top spot.
Aoife Heffron, PR Executive at Boylesports, commented “The last time a campaign was started to knock the X Factor winner off the Christmas Number 1 spot it succeeded and at 15/8 we could all be dancing to AC/DC’s Highway To Hell on Christmas Day.”
She added “The usual suspects are also in the betting but at the lower end, with Mariah Carey and the Pogues both on offer at 50/1, George Michael at 66/1 and Sir Cliff Richard priced at 100/1 to see a Christmas Number 1 with an old classic.”
