We all know that blogs are changing the PR game and are on top of all the action.

We’re looking at 3 blog posts that got the recognition they deserved at the 2015 blog awards, to see what we can learn from these blogging pros.

1. Greenhill fruit farm

This blog was written by the Ferry Carrig hotel and it won the best company blog post in Ireland at the blog awards 2015. The post is centered around the hotel’s fruit supplier, the Greenhill fruit farm.  The blog is informative, casual and really personal. It includes a detailed interview with the Greenhill fruit farm owner, which makes it really personal, something absent from a lot of blogs. What makes it so successful for us, is the fact that it doesn’t push the hotel brand on you, rather the opposite, it focuses on someone else. Read it here.

2. 5 steps to becoming a robot – Is this you?

This blog was a finalist in the ‘best company blog post’ category, and fell only slightly short of the win. This post is eye-opening, creative and above all else, true. What makes it so successful for us, is the fact that it engages with you by asking really relevant questions. It’s creative, alluring and like the former blog it subtly incorporates the reflexology brand without making it all about sales. Here at we think that you need to read this one asap. Check it out here.

3. Building an insect hotel for winter hibernation

For all the green fingered gardeners out there – this is the blog for you. It’s easy to see why this blog post has been so successful, it’s impressively educational. If you haven’t got any experience with insects or their habitats then this blog post is perfect. It’s easy to read, there’s great visual imagery and it’s downright interesting. A great read if you’re thinking about opening your very own garden hotel. Check it out here.
